Sundays river. Childhood with Neville - weekends and holidays at sundays river. Fond memories of my childhood which neville was part of. Memories which stick well: early morning drive in boat Miranda with neville and Doreen and dogs. Drives in the landy on the beach to go surf fishing . And then just into adulthood I remember just grandpa and I driving out to the lighthouse on some errand . these were just but some of many special moments with grandpa Neville.

Grandpa Neville loved to tinker in his workshop.

Born 24 nov1923.port Elizabeth . lived in pe whole life. Went reina del mar to south america in 1950s. Spent all holidays . weekends at Sundays. Plot belong to great granny and grandpa and was left to Trevor and neville.

Dorreen and Neville went to Victoria falls on holiday in 1970/1. Special holiday for them.

Workshop was pride and joy. Doreen would always do the breaking of things and Neville would fix them. Doreen said he had the golden hands. Doreen and dogs sleeping in landy while Neville fished.

Studied to be a radio electrician and branched out to refrigeration. He worked at tedelex for 28 years after he retired at 67/68.

Doreen went with Pam and Ozzy croft for a wekeend at crofts for a braai with other friends. Pam says I don't like an odd man out. So she went on her bicycle to Neville's bungalow which Neville built himself. And asked him to come and make an even number which he did. By the end of the evening he had already married doreen with beer can ring as he was besotted with doreen. And were together ever since. Date. 1970.

He had one son Terence.

Retirement years: late at night say what are we doing here and pack up and go to river. After retirement spent many hours in his workshop . many tools had sentimental value given to him by his dad and uncles.

Didn't display his emotions but he was kind and gentle. Never let you down. He wasn't most romantic person. He was a genuine character. He had a strong opinion

For me he always interested
